Find the source with the machine running
Fill, wash and spin watched separately. A leak that only appears on spin is a different part from one that appears on fill.

Check the door boot fold
On a front loader the bottom of the boot collects water, debris and tears. Whirlpool documents cleaning it and it is inspected on every one of these calls.

Check hoses and clamps
Inlet hoses, the drain hose, the pump connections and the bellows clamp. Rubber inlet hoses over five years old get replaced on sight.

Look at the dispenser and the detergent
Too much detergent overflows the dispenser and the machine, and this make publishes an excess-suds reading precisely because it happens so often.

Water at the front of a front loader is usually the door boot, torn where an underwire or a coin has been sawing at it, and that is a contained repair. Water at the back is a hose connection or the supply itself. Water appearing only during the drain is the pump housing or its hose. Water underneath through the whole cycle is the tub seal, and that is the one worth weighing against the price of the machine. In a laundry closet over somebody else's ceiling, finding which of those it is comes before anything else in the visit.

The leak only happens on some cycles.
That narrows it usefully. A leak that appears only on a hot wash points at a hose or a seal that opens when it expands, and one that appears only on the drain is downstream of the tub. Note which cycle it was and tell us when you book.
There is a puddle but the machine looks dry.
Check the drain standpipe first. A machine pumping faster than the building's drain can take it backs up out of the pipe, which is a plumbing problem presenting as a washer leak.
