Get the door open safely
There is a manual release, and using it correctly is better than forcing a door that is holding a drum of water.

Drain the machine before opening the lock
Through the pump filter hose. A front loader that has stopped mid-cycle is full.

Test the lock and its wiring
The lock is a switch and a solenoid or a wax motor. Both halves are checked, and so is the connector, which browns with heat.

Check the hinge and the strike
A door that has dropped puts the strike a few millimeters out and destroys locks steadily. Fixing that is the difference between one repair and three.

Drain it first at the filter door or you will empty the drum onto the floor. Beyond that, pulling on a locked door bends the strike, which means the new lock fails the same way. It is worth waiting.
