These arrive in South Florida condominiums for one reason: the association will not allow a new penetration through the wall, and there is nowhere to run a vent. So the owner is living with a different machine rather than a vented dryer without a vent. There is no element and no duct. Clean both filters

The door lint screen and the lower filter behind the plinth. A blocked lower filter is the commonest cause of poor drying on these and it has its own published indication.

Check the condensate path

Tank, pump and drain hose. A full tank stops the machine; a pump that has stopped fills the tank.

Measure the loop

Compressor behavior and temperatures across the heat exchanger. This is refrigeration work on a laundry appliance and it is diagnosed as such.

Set expectations honestly

A heat pump dryer takes longer than a vented one by design. Knowing what normal looks like on your model prevents a repair that was never needed.

### It takes far longer than my old dryer. Is it broken?

Probably not. These machines dry at a much lower temperature and a long cycle is how they are designed to work, which is also why they are gentler on clothes. What is not normal is a cycle that finishes with the load still wet.

### How often does the condenser need cleaning?

On a busy household here, every few months, and the filters far more often than that. This is the one dryer in the list where maintenance is not optional — a blocked condenser stops it drying entirely, and it stops it long before it reports anything.
